Vince''s family would like to thank everyone for the many kind thoughts, prayers, memories, and condolences that they have received during this difficult time. An open-house memorial will be held this Wednesday, September 28th at the Mesa Community College Performing Arts Center located at 1520 South Longmore in Mesa. They would like to invite everyone to join them to celebrate the life of Vince Wedge, a wonderful and caring man who is dearly missed. Please stop by anytime between 5:30 and 7:30pm.
Jazz entered the young lives in different ways for five members of a combo that emerged from the Young Sounds of Arizona’s two larger ensembles. The combo will perform at 7 p.m. December 8 at South Mountain Community College.
Larry Lederman remembers how Young Sounds of Arizona came into being as a multi-high-school jazz band of teenage musicians. What a concept it was! Student musicians from schools that were zealous sports rivals would get together regularly to play jazz.
